Collective Action Calendar B&H

About

We’re a group of Brightonians building a grassroots campaign to boycott Israeli goods in solidarity with the Palestinian people. The campaign aims to pressure the racist and genocidal state of Israel to end its illegal occupation and ethnic cleansing of Palestinian land. Our campaign is inspired by the 1964 anti-Apartheid march from Brighton to London, led by Thabo Mbeki. Black South Africans have stated that Palestinians living under Israeli occupation face a worse plight than they themselves experienced under Apartheid: “Many of us that have visited the occupied territories in Palestine have only come back with one conclusion: that the Palestinians are experiencing a far worse form of apartheid than we ever experienced.” – Mandla Mandela (Nelson Mandela’s grandson) We aim to build on this legacy by following in the footsteps of Bristol’s Apartheid-Free Zone campaign. We’ll continue Brighton & Hove’s proud tradition of resistance and inspire collective action across our community.
